Environmental Protection District

Adjacent or transferable private interest

Banff land is leased from Parks Canada. A non-resident can hold a leasehold, but people living there must meet eligible-residency rules. Residential leaseholds cannot serve as vacation or second homes. Check the consent process for an assignment or commercial sublease before agreeing to dates.

The Town's land use map identifies Environmental Protection District with code PE. Municipal addresses inside this district include Glen Ave.

The protection designation describes a land-use area. For an adjacent leasehold, verify the boundary, any registered access and the actual extent of outdoor use before attributing value to land beyond the lease.
